I had a fun day today. I went over to
lechiro's house and we played a couple of games of Scrabble and he made me a very yummy dinner. I always like playing Scrabble with
lechiro because we're both at the same level, and we don't get mad if the other wins, and can appreciate it when the other plays a good word or gets a high score.
Anyway, while looking for a word in the Official Scrabble Dictionary, I found the word za, which means "pizza." I'm sorry, but za is not a word! At the very least, it should be 'za! Za? Za? That is not a word! What I find very puzzling is how some retarded words like za are in the dictionary, but clit isn't. The argument for clit not being in the dictionary is that it is the abbreviated word for clitoris. Yes, that is true, but doesn't limo fall under the same category? And limo is in the Scrabble dictionary. These days, the word clit is so commonly used that it's not really an abbreviation anymore. If limo is in the Scrabble dictionary, then why not clit? And if za is in the dictionary, then clit should definitely be! Seriously, za? Za was probably only put in the Scrabble dictionary so that there would be a two letter word with the letter Z.
On the topic of words that you wouldn't expect to find in the Scrabble dictionary, a while ago, I found the word womyn, as an alternative spelling to women, in the Scrabble dictionary. If words like that are in there, then clit should be too!
Note-we were using the 4th edition of the Official Scrabble Dictionary which is the most recent edition, and was printed in 2005.
Edit: I just found the "word" vac in the Scrabble dictionary (third edition). It means "a vacuum cleaner". I am not impressed.
