OK, I'm a word geek
It's 11:51pm- Christian came home about 10 minutes ago, and put on the news. He was very eager to see the news story about a Canadian runner who knocked over a hurdle. Apparently it's big news, because she's very popular, and everyone was counting on her, blah, blah, blah. I'm not into sports, so I don't know anything about it, except for the 30 seconds I just saw on the news, nor am I interested.
What amuses me is her first name is Perdita which I find ironic. In Spanish, the verb to lose is perder and ita is a common ending added to words to form a diminutive, so her name in Spanish means Little Loser.
I'm easily amused.
