road trip

One thing I love about my friends is how spontaneous they are. I was sitting home and friday and I received a call asking if I would like to accompany them on a road trip, of course I do not decline. I havent done so much driving in my life. We drove from san diego, to yuma, gila bend, pheonix, flagstaff, grand canyon, vegas, and finally back to san diego. Im too lazy to post everything so here is what I did find time to do.

I have to comment that I was not aware of the massive amount of snowfall northern arizona got, I almost died freezing. Arizona in general was not too flattering, but the road trip and hotel fun was pretty good. On the plus side I saw the grand canyon (which was covered by fog! -_-) , gambled at a casino in flagstaff(yes lets not mention all the illegal things I do), and finally ate at sonics(we dont have one in san diego and are constantly pestered by the sonic commercials).

Oh and I musnt forget how my smart ass almost got us trapped in the middle of the mojave desert. I was outraged by the $3.30/gal gas prices so I thought we would make it to the next gas station with the amount of gas we had (the sign said 35miles until the next gas station). Soon to find out the next gas station was 90 miles away. We were riding the E line for quite a while, truth is I knew we were going to make it. Because I am a nerd I calculated the amount of gas left in the 15 gallon tank by the amount of average miles per gallon we were going. It wasnt funny to everyone at the time, but I find it hilarious. lol. The irony of it all is that I shelled out 3 dollars for a haagen daz ice cream bar but was outraged to pay for gas.
