morning workout

I did a 20 minute video this morning called Rotation and Motivation, or something like that. It did a quick warm up, then leg work, then arm work, then core work, then a cool down. It was mostly the type of stuff that Jo would like. It used the resistance of ones own body for the workout and weight lifts. It was kind of half aerobic half resistance training. It was kind of boring, but burned about 150 calories in 20 minutes. My typical morning 12 minute video burns 123 and is certainly more entertaining. I am trying different things out this week though. I do not want to get bored and burn out or allow my body to get used to the same movements everyday. I do think the one I did this morning would be better on a Martial Arts day as opposed to a lifting day because it did work muscles quite a bit.

I woke up with my legs sore from Martial Arts yesterday; especially the calves.
I had to look at my " no excuses" poster to get motivated. The second excuse says " My legs are still sore from yesterdays workout"....yeah, not accepting that. So, I did it. Now to make it through the rest of the day! This is ONLY Tuesday.

We have to make some kind of a schedule change for Thursday because we need to go to Springfield for shopping and we will be gone during my Kata time / weight time. I will be exhausted after walking around all day but do not want to miss it. I think I can get the Katas in before we leave in the morning because that is pretty quick. We will just have to figure out the weights...maybe AFTER both of Otous classes. Also, I need to touch base with Karston about the reschedule. I refuse to just skip it. I maybe should have planned Thursdays as a day off since we shop on Thursdays a couple of times of month, but I really wanted the weekends as both off days and want to work 5 days a week.

I really want a step counter/ heart rate monitor! I think I have chosen which one I would like to have but it is $100. If we get to work at the haunted house ( which is up in the air at the moment) or at the hamlet I plan to get it for me. I really wish I had one now though for Thursdays shopping. It is really hard to estimate walking time and speed while shopping.
