Not sad at all. We all have times we're there. ::laughs:: Methinks I been there an awful long time... But hopefully soon that will change for me (and for you). :)
My only vacay was last month, with a close friend made through fandom: hiking, beach walks for me, good dinners, and...biting flies. :P Am looking forward to next year when both friend and I will both be post-surgeries and hopefully have no excuse not to feel good and do some good hiking.
Oh those flies. Like at work. You're talking to someone, it flies by (aiming for your nose and mouth), you swat and do the one hand clap to try to catch it, then the two-hand....and the other person looks at you like you're crazy.
Until said fly aims for their orifices, then you snicker softly as they do their best to kill the pest.
Hmmmm... how's that plastic wrap figure into the equation?
Yay to painting! (And to your commitment to it!) All I've done recently is some pencil and watercolor sketching with another friend last month.
LOL...no need to be more interesting, we luvs y'as y'are, bb. :)
Oh, the plastic wrap goes over the top of the whole bowl of vinegar/soap. Then you poke a few small holes in it, so the flies can get in, but they can't find their way out again. And I think that helps a lot, because I used to make these sorts of traps without it and they'd never catch anything. But the plastic wrap makes a huge difference.
Also, I tried one today with beer instead of vinegar, and it is TURBO power. I've caught more flies in six hours today than I did in 48 hours with the vinegar. Wow!
