It was the Pegasus Galaxy, of course there were zombies. Why wouldn’t a place with creepy, life-sucking vampire-things have zombies?
Sam huddled with Major Lorne in the small cavern. The undead seemed reluctant to cross the threshold Lorne had drawn across the entrance with salt scavenged from their MREs. A short bend in the cave hid them from view. The zombies might be able to smell them, but they were out of sight.
Lorne pulled a glow stick from a pocket in his tac vest. A quick hand movement bent it and he shook it, filling the alcove with an eerie greenish light. He jammed it into a crack in the rock.
“Lorne, how did you know the salt would work?” Sam asked, turning in the small space to face him. Lorne wasn’t a tall man, so they stood pretty much eye to eye.
Lorne’s eyes left hers, aimed somewhere over her head, and the corners of his mouth turned down stubbornly. “You won’t believe me if I tell you,” he finally said.
“Try me. You know most of the things I’ve seen over the years,” Sam insisted, noticing his clean, male scent.
“My mother was, uh, a… witch. Okay?” He said after a long moment.
“Huh. Your personnel file doesn’t list you as Pagan,” Sam said.
“She was. I don’t really have a religion.”
“But… the salt,” Sam replied, leaning back to look at the entrance again. Sure enough, the hissing, drooling, shuffling horde remained behind Lorne’s threshold.
“Some stuff just works, I don’t know why,” he shrugged. “And uh, could you not do that? Ma’am. It’s very… distracting.”
“Sorry, Major.” Feeling her face flush, Sam straightened and shifted her lower body away from the bulge growing in Lorne’s BDUs.
“Whoa! Not that far, ma’am.” He grabbed her hips and pulled her back toward him. “We don’t need to give those things something to focus on.” It was Lorne’s turn to flush. Sam saw his face darken slightly in the surreal green light.

“I’m a bit of an adrenalin junkie, what can I say?” Sam replied, eyes sparkling and her nose crinkling up so adorably that Lorne felt the bottom drop out of his stomach.
“Jesus,” he muttered and kissed her.
Sam turned to the wall and dropped her pants to her knees, Lorne pressed to her back, sucking at her neck. Sneaking his hand around her bare hip, he slipped his fingers between her legs.
“Fuck, you’re so wet already,” he groaned.
“Lorne,” Sam’s voice broke on a breathy sigh as a finger grazed her clit, “stop talking about it and do it.”

“Fuck… coming,” he ground out after a couple of hard thrusts then froze deep inside her. His quick staccato breaths moved the hair around her ear.
They separated and dressed to the sound of weapons fire outside their cave.
”We’ll have to try that sometime without zombies at the door,” Sam said with a little smile, pulling her clothes back in place.

You know, I've been a S/D girl for so damn long, though I can ship either of them with others.
Lorne is just... I dunno what it is about him, but I'm hoping we'll eventually get a few scenes between them. I know they won't be shippy (at least not overtly), but they've really known each other a long time. And in multiple realities!
