Sweet. I have got my Spring Break figured out finally. Rom has finally concluded he shouldn't come home with me, which is kind of a relief. He wasn't going to be able to be there long, and it was going to be such a mess trying to get everything figured out. But now I have freedom of going for as long as I want and not have to worry about it. And I get to go home with Justo, which is always a great thing. I'm sad, I wanted to ride with Reed a little, but Justo will drop me off at my front door, so that is always preferred. Besides, I see Reed all the time, and I haven't seen Justin since we rode home together a month ago. And I miss him and his iPod with strange gems hidden in strange places.
So yeah, we'll be going home on Saturday or Sunday. Mom and I are coming back to Des Moines and Ames on Saturday (she's got something with her Choir group that weekend, and she's staying with me in my apartment- whee.) Tuesday night I'm staying with Anne, and Thursday I'm going to be with Diana, it sounds like. Friday is my Dad's birthday, and we are supposed to have a family birthday sometime, since my brother's birthday is the 10th, my niece's the 17th, and Dad's is of course the 18th. And otherwise I'm free, free as a bird...
So hopefully the whole time I'll be busy (getting my teeth cleaned, getting my hair cut, etc etc) and I won't pine after Rom too badly. And hopefully nobody will be too upset that he didn't come with me, but it just honestly wasn't working out too well. It's very true, what they say -grad students have no lives outside of their research.
Okay, so my eyes aren't working too well anymore, and I have class in the morning. I'm just really happy I got everything worked out for the better, finally. Ontinia, you bet your Meaty Swords I'm coming to you and we're going to do nothing the whole time. Count on it.
