Nrgh, that's why I blog. All day long I couldn't for the life of me remember what happened last Tuesday. After rereading the post I figured it out. Turns out it was even less than I thought. Huh.
Well, right now I'm playing Bitch Hermit. My roommates had friends over to watch something (becoming a Tuesday tradition, I believe) and wanted to do a week's worth of Math. Tada! WIn. I'm not happy with the math course, but that's my life, and I'll live with it.
Something that I didn't realise my life was missing was brought to my attention by
amphitritie.
Seriously, thank you so much for posting that link. Maybe it would have been better if I hadn't seen it until after my chem exam last night, but whatever. I have no regrets.
Anyone who follows my Twitter knows about this, and some of my friends I see on a day to day basis (PSH, I see none of my friends on a day to day basis, who am I kidding?) some random passerbys, people on forums, and the chipmunks know about how much I love it.
Yes, that's right:
Fake News Rumble. I love it so hard, I felt withdrawl symptoms when I got to the end of the last published chapter, became upset about a random stranger's hospital stay that endangers the finishing of the next chapter, and realised that I really have to get into the Fake News fandom more. I don't know if I could write it, not very well, but it's ZOMG amazing. I couldn't write it since I don't like Stewart enough to jump through all the hoops I go through to see Colbert, and I only watch that every once in a while since I'm having computer problems and have no TV in my room, and feel a certain pride about not watching the one in the living room. That and Colbert has such a distinctive speech pattern, I don't think I can give it justice.
How do I mean? Well, here, some examples from his twitter feed.
Our basketball team beat Turkey for the world championship. I believe that means Turkey inherits our debt.
Can't believe Petraeus made an appearance on the show. Some people will do any lifetime of military service to get on TV.
And my personal favorite in the last couple of weeks,
If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, then I guess I just got away with tree murder.
Now, I have to admit that I don't know if he tweets for himself (I'm leaning towards no, personally- anybody know for sure?) But they sound just like how he talks in hos show. The beginning of the phrase is loud, the end goes down in pitch. Things would be said in fast salvos, punctuated with hand gestures and eyebrows. I just don't think I could write fic about him and have it do the man any justice. But I've found some people who can. Besides, I kind of love the stories anyway; my story would have to be pretty kick-ass to get me to write it.
But it doesn't mean I couldn't try...
Besides, who knew that Jon and Stephen would make such a cute couple? (Seriously guys, make out right now. In front of the camera. Do it.)
Anyway. on to real news. No pun(dit) intended. (Or was it?)
The past two days have been without lustre. I was very blue. There was no cleavage, just fracture. Things were hard. I was definitely feeling like a brown streak on a ceramic tablet. My specific gravity was heavier than water. I was nearly entirely opaque. I also went to Geo Lab.
Things were also like calcium carbonate dissolving in hydrochloric acid... I had chem lab too.
Things weren't even the difference of two cubes. A sad day, indeed.
But I ran into Justo today. I saw him coming so I buzzed close and yelled "HEY, I'M WALKING HERE!" I think he laughed. I don't know. I also asked him to take me to the bike shop since my handlebars are being insane.
So that was fun.
I hate Tuesdays, I have to run back and forth across campus like madshit. Just to go home and be too blah to do anything but sit in my room and do math homework. (And read. That too.) But it's okay, because I've finished all my Chemistry lecture assignments, all my Math assignments, taken the chem exam, and only have to turn in this week's lab report (realised when I got there this morning that I had left the graph at home, yay.) I also have to turn in the Geo lab assignment since I realised after I got there that I had left that assignment at home too. At least I remembered my goggles and a sandwich for lunch. Add that to the lab report for next week and some other odds and ends, and I'm sitting pretty good. The only thing I'm really worried about right now is that I have a math exam Friday. And I'm not entirely confident on all the material. But on the other hand, the stuff we are doing today was flipping easy. So let's see if it all works out then.
My mom is in the process of getting my student loans mess straightened out. So that's great.
I took this laptop into the IT department yesterday and got it back today. They found a virus on it, installed a new version of McAfee (and apparently deleted Avast!. Drat!) cleaned some things up, and returned it... basically the same as I left it with them. Ah well, at least it was 'free'. 'Free' because their costs are included in my great big bill I have. Hooray.
I'm thinking that tomorrow morning I'm going to skip my first lecture (Developmental Psych- he has promised a video of childbirth but was not farsighted enough to not mention what day he was showing it) and instead listen to the lecture on the internet (minus video) get good and properly ready for the day, and venture out at 10 (11?) for chemistry.
Yep, think that's the way to go.
So peace out, I'm going to brush my teeth, change into pajamas, and toss and turn in bed for a good half hour before becoming something resembling comfortable. I really miss my queen sized pillow top.
