It's happened, I knew it would. Like geese flying south for the winter, or something. I too have have flown south. And by I I mean my ability to do anything slightly impressive.
I've got Writer's block.
And not that, but I have got Macro block, Drawing block, and more importantly, Filling-out-applications block. All I've wanted to do for a couple of days is moon about, spend times with friends, and spend time with a certain individual. So that's fun. I hope that my mad skills return soon enough.
Today was spent almost entirely in town, doing whatever. I left home at about 9.15 hoping to get to school at 9.40. Of course it's done nothing but rain for a day now, and everything was flooded. I enjoyed stopping and taking a pictures of various creeks, corn fields, and rivers that all pretty much looked the same: muddy brown water. Everywhere. So I didn't make it to Bybee's room until ten. There were a whole two people in there from Ceramics. Congratulations, guys. The three of us, later joined by Anne and Alicia to bring us up to five, cleaned the ceramics studio. Which was supposed to be our final. So I guess five of us passed.
Anne did a semester's worth of drawings today as well. And my lord! I'm not even exaggerating when I say that what she turned out today was better than what the others did. Not. Even. Kidding. The kid's got talent, far more than I have. I'm quite proud to have her as a friend. Rowdy survived and was graded today. I think there was little doubt that he would be an 100% project, but John did make her heart stop- he wasn't going to accept our favorite Alligator-Dog-Goat as two assignments. However, I think they did get it all straightened out- I believe she threatened him with bodily harm if he didn't give her the A+. I received A's in both of my classes, so I am happy.
I was quite sad though, when I left the school I left for the last time as a student. I asked him if he would miss me, he told me to send him emails and that I was, quote 'A cool person.' Byb is pretty much awful with words - to counteract his godlike skills on the wheel - so I took the compliment. I'll miss that scrawny salt -and-pepper man, truly.
My friend Brittney and I were trying to make plans for tonight. She mentioned that it was margarita night, I said that sounded awesome. However, I wasn't going to drive home after indulging, and she grudgingly said I could stay there overnight. The plans changed to playing cards and watching movies, but I messed up things and didn't know how to get to her house. I was frustrated and decided that some other time. Sadly I spent the evening at home watching television with my parents... good fun.
It was a sad day, indeed. But the afternoon picked up. After the graduation practice was over I received a message from Craig. We decided on gas station coffee and a walk in the park. Sadly the station we picked was out of French Vanilla so I settled for hot chocolate, and the park we decided on was cut off by a washed-out road. However, we went to the park overlooking the river, which has this usually small trickle of a creek that was quite impressive, going down the hillside and creating some amazing looking mini waterfalls. I believe we both swamped our shoes and I got to walk around with wet high-tops, but it was nice. We discovered that we both suck at video games, discussed which is better: being the oldest or the youngest (the Oldest has set a good example, but they get to put the Youngest up on things that they cannot get down from) and we were just generally awkward yet kind of cute, I imagine. He's got a weird profile, I realised. Almost like he is smelling something burning. But he has the most amazing habit of making his eyes pop when you talk to him. Like someone has just goosed him. It's tragically adorable.
Yes, I'm going to enjoy this. And if it goes nowhere, but he becomes famous, then hey, I've got a first print of his band's cd sitting upstairs in my bedside alarmclock. Mission accomplished.
Oh, and I also brought my stuff home. I'll take pictures since they are pretty much the dorkiest most amazing things I have ever made. Trufax.
Also also also, I told someone who went in to get their stuff graded 'Keep pulling, we're all in this together.' Anne laughed and said "I totally know what you are quoting." Anne watched The Red Green Show! I'm so in love with her.
