So here is my second version of the earlier story I typed. I think I like this one better.. .but lets see how it goes. I have learned something since then, that Nyssa and Turlough only overlapped for two serials... and Turlough was kind of ...not awesome enough to do what I would have happen in this... so we are just going to ignore a major plot ( Read more... )

fanfic, i tried to warn you, doctor who, slashy in nature, fifth doctor, fangirl

Seriously, though I would prefer to think that Turlough really just borrowed the sweater without permission and the girls are just teasing him (Turlough, seriously?) your grasp of that everyday dialogue and character interaction is a lot of fun to read.

Yeah... I'm not proud of this... but I enjoyed writing it.

I think Turlough is freaking adorable, I'm sorry for that. >.>

But thank you. I like a lot of dialog. I often wonder if I write too much, but its so much fun to hear them interact in my head.

And again, I'm sorry about Turlough. xD

My stories often start out as naked dialogue. Then I add in the description and other stuff. I hear them before I see them, then I see them, then I figure out what's going on in their heads.

I think of it as if I am spying on their conversations in a reality television show. I get all of their insane crap and I edit it down to what I think is interesting and give that. Sometimes I pay more attention to what they are saying, and thats where you only get dialog, but sometimes I actually catch something useful. I'm horrendous about the balance between enough and too much detail. I like to describe facial expressions, but I hate naming or describing OCs.

I have a stable of OCs I borrow from (generally interesting people I've met...I just combine two or three of them to keep the similarities from showing.)

And I draft the daylights out of everything I write. Usually a minimum of five drafts, sometimes ten. The thing I'm working on now is taking a lot of work to bang into just the right shape.

Yeah... I'm kind of weird (I think, I don't know, I only have myself to compare to) in that I like to type up something right into my journal then reread it and edit the entry right here. Then once I get it to how I like it and have it beta'd, then I'll put it on ff.net or a community. It isn't very effective, I don't know why I do it, but... eh. Mostly because some of this junk is, well.. junk. But I think it is all brilliant and all rubbish at the same time and I can't decide.

I should stop writing when I'm tired. -.-
