my supervisor was supposed to be working at the front desk right now
but she told me that she had a project to work on in the back so i
should come up and work here. and all i am hearing right now is the
sound of her and a couple of my other office mates laughing at pictures
of each other on her laptop. i think i got shafted. especially because
the professional staff isn't here today so there's food back there and
one guy's playing motown on his speakers. there's no motown on my
speakers dammit, and i sure as hell can't hear his anymore.
so my roommates and i are in the process of getting ourselves this
sweet 5-bedroom apartment in astoria. more on that as the story
develops. so i've been doing a little experiment and i think i'm
finding favorable results. i've been going to the gym every day after
work, and i've also been waking up at about 7:30 in the morning every
day. and i've been forcing myself to avoid taking naps as well. not
that i really took many naps before. and i think that the combination
has really been helping me sleep better. i've been falling asleep
relatively easily and only waking up 2 or 3 times during the night.
it's been less than a week though, so i'm trying not to count my
chickens, but hopefully i've found a pattern that works for me.
i also may have found a way to work like 10 hours a week this fall.
which would be sweet because it's nice to have a job that i don't hate
and it's also nice not to be wicked poor all the time.
