670 million miles per hour, relative to anything and everything

it's nice out right now but it's sorta hard to enjoy since i'm broke and kind of lonely. so i went to bobst again to continue my reading of the fabric of the cosmos. fucking amazing. i'm only about 20 percent into it but it's just absolutely incredible so far and i'm really looking forward to reading about the things to which he has only briefly alluded so far.
i have had an insatiable appetite for nonfiction lately, even more so than usual. last night, i happened to pick up eryck's copy of everything you know is wrong and read this article about mad cow disease and its implications.  fucking crazy.  definitely read it if you eat beef at all.  or even if you don't.  just read it.  and i've done my internet research and the claims in the article definitely appear to be substatiated.  i've read a number of articles from the book over the past several months, and they're very informative.  you should check it out at some point.  not necessarily from a library.  but that option is certainly available.
hot and humid makes me want to nap.  i don't know if that will actually happen though.  we'll see if i don't end up picking up another book while trying to fall asleep.
