Thanksgiving break is the shortest definition of break I’ve ever heard. It’s basically a weekend. However, I’m not complaining….I’m quite glad not to have to go to school. ☺
I stayed busy the whole time, until today, which I kept free for pure laziness. (Mom did make me get dressed and rake for a couple hours).
Wednesday, I saw Alex for the first time since summer!! Alex, Hannah, and I went hiking to the foundations on Downs Road. Apparently it’s the most haunted place in Bethany. I wasn’t scared of it until they mentioned that fact, and then the idea that we were standing in the middle of nowhere in foundations of houses from years ago kind of freaked me out a bit. As we were leaving, Alex said, “I swear I just saw a man at the top of that hill”. So much for being rational people lolol.
For Thanksgiving, the family all went to Grandpa’s house where I am the only person (other than my 14-yr old sister) between the ages of 10 and 30. I played barbies and legos with my little cousins until I started feeling dizzy and was diagnosed with vitamin deficiency by the family. (obv hadn’t eaten yet..) lol woo. Food was delicious as usual. I must say, one of my favorites was the scalloped corn, which I just happened to cook this year.
Friday, Nat, Saz and I drove to New Haven for no purpose at all. They took me to get bubble tea at the Ivy Noodle. Strange concoction..reminded me of those little clear baby jellyfish one finds on the beach. Or perhaps of larvae. In any case, saz had to finish mine for me. After stopping briefly at the beecher playground at like 10 at night, they slept over and we had lots of girly fun lol. Waffles and icecream at the atehenian next morning!!
That night the three of us went shopping at kohls! (where 60 dollars of my hard owned money disappeared). Then we met up with Ari and George and went to see Casino Royale. Good, except for the random traveling shots over the ocean during the eye of the storm. Oh, and horseback riding in a bathing suit. OW.
…
