I've been having the weirdest dreams lately. They're so vivid that I think I'm awake during them and then get confused when I wake up. And they never seem to be of a good nature. But, then again, my dreams seem to aways have a somewhat negative tone. I'm not sure why.

I went and pestered several professors/doctors on campus today in order to see if they were taking undergraduates in their research labs. I'm in one now but I'm trying to get into a lab that is geared more towards immunology and cancer (which is what I'm interested...I think). I've been turned away by soooo many people because they already have undergraduates. It's so frustrating because they look at you like, "Duh, I already have someone." Oh well. I did get my virology teacher to point me to someone (Dr. Tucker) and he has been asking his postdocs and grad students to see if someone will take me under their wing. After running through the neuroscience building to see another professor, I saw Dr. Tucker was in his office and decided to meet him (or meet me rather to put a face with the email). He was hilarious and just about as goofy as you can get. Anyhow, he talked to me about his lab and asked me about my goals and such. He says that he's waiting to see if his grad students want to take someone and that he'll let me know (he doesn't want to force me on anyone because that would kinda suck for them and me). I'm hopeful. If anything, talking to him made me feel better. We'll see. If so, I get to play with mice and genes and such. Heh heh heh heh.

Oh and my physics teacher seems more reasonable than last semester. Woooo. My tumor bio class is going to be KICK-ASS. I'm excited (and a nerd).

And I got $54 in rebate from the co-op. I HATE the co-op but it made me feel better when I bought my physics lab manual (which is only available there) with the rebate card. Then I bought my mycology course packet and came home. All in all, it's been a successful day. I even made an appointment to get help with my personal statements that I have to write for my intership applications (Dr. Kneeland will help make them not suck).

I'm going to run tomorrow at Town Lake. I'm excited because it's been so cold that I haven't really wanted (or been able) to go. In that account, I'm going to bed. Night.
