a long post. because i can.

certain sources have informed me that i am not updating enough, so i'm going to see if i can fix that. we'll see how long that lasts, yeah?

anyway, i had a REALLY good weekend! i had a full three days off of work, which was excellent--it was like a mini vacation.

on friday, elisabeth and i went to disneyland. that's almost enough said right there. i think i actually had more fun than usual. the lines were longer than they have been in a while, but that was understandable since it was a holiday. we managed to get through it all okay, though, with a little help from zola. (lily, how did we survive the lines at disneyland before video ipods?) i think we freaked some people out with our random dancing, but that was part of the fun! and, i don't know if elisabeth heard this or not, but some lady behind us in the line for pirates of the caribbean said that "i guess some young people still have good taste in music." i would have said something, but i was too busy dancing to "sympathy for the devil".

on saturday, i spent the morning and afternoon with my family, just doing little things. elisabeth came over at around seven, and we hung out in my room playing around on the internet and talking about a script that she's writing (which is very good. disturbing. but good). at eight, we went to the grocery store to get food for dinner, as well as root beer and cookie dough. because no evening is complete without root beer and cookie dough. kiffin arrived a few minutes after we got back, and we watched blazing saddles. YAY MEL BROOKS! dc showed up near the end of the movie. he had some issues at the gas station. i laughed at him because of them. after the movie, we retired to my room so that dc could play ffxii while i showed kiffin some amvs and elisabeth searched for information on the actors she wanted for parts in her script. elisabeth left at around eleven fifteen. kiffin and i had a lot of fun reading through some of the quotes on bash.org, and i was literally in tears at the harry potter one. here is a piece of it : "in the interest of science, i have replaced the word 'wand' with 'wang' in the first harry potter book." enough said. kiffin left at one thirty. for the rest of the night, dc played ffxii, and i switched between watching him do that and watching "one piece". he left at five forty five, and then only because he actually had things to do later on and needed to get SOME sleep.

on sunday, i let myself sleep in a bit, since i had gone to bed at six thirty in the morning. i finally got around to playing ffxii myself some, and then in the evening my family had an insanely early dinner (five thirty!!!) and went to see a LACO concert at royce hall on the ucla campus. it was actually pretty cool. there were four pieces performed--two with piano solos, one with two pianos, and one with three pianos. watching the one with three pianos was really fun. i r geek.

and that leads us up to today! i found out today that the test that i requested be regraded (i was the only person to take our professor up on that option) did, in fact, get a higher grade by doing so. YAY! i was being paranoid about that, because the essay that was being regraded was not exactly what you would call "coherent". but apparently she liked it, because my grade went up the few points needed to make it an A. now, if i can just force myself to study for that stupid spanish vocab quiz i have tomorrow, i'll be set!

"please allow me to introduce myself.
i'm a man of wealth and taste."
