The ceremonial sword swinging from Glitch’s hip as he approached the horse already loaded with supplies and waiting for him introduced a whole new, exciting level of heart pounding into Cain’s life.
Heh... into mine, too! :D This seemed very old-school Ozian for some reason, I loved it.
I liked the familiarity of Cain knowing how to draw him out of a glitch, and that they're "long past the need for apologies or thanks."
And action! Can't wait to find out what's going on!
Heee! I'm glad that "old-school Ozian" feeling was present, I'm trying to learn more about the whole established canon and integrating it into the story as it moves along. However...the sword will have a use much, much later! *evil grin*
Oh, I know - I would LOVE to have seen him handle weapons. The fight scene was such a great part of his character - and the way he held his hands made me think that he'd had some sword training as well.
For some reason the mental picture of Cain in an apron fixing supper makes me giggle. I wonder why that could be... oh who am I kidding? That's just funny stuff.
I love the fact that Glitch is regaining his memories and stuff but he's still the same Glitch, having glitches & going in the wrong direction. Those little pieces are what make your characterization so brilliant.
