• Character’s name: Eric Lane
• Character’s hair color, eye colour: Brown, Hazel
• Any birthmarks or scars?: He has a scar on his left palm from when his best friend moved away in middle school. They made a blood pact that they'd always remain friends.
• Family Members: David Lane (Father), Martha Lane (Mother), Lydia Lane (Sister), and last but not least Emily Elizabeth Lane (Daughter).
• Birth place and current location: He was born in Weston Massachusetts and currently resides in an apartment in Natick.
• Where does your character go when he’s angry? He goes for a walk with Emily if the weather is nice enough. If not he goes and visits his sister.
• What is her biggest fear? Who has she told this to? Who would she never tell this to? Why? He has two. A fear of the dark and a fear of losing Emily. His parents know about the second one, and no one really knows about his fear of the dark.
• Does she have a secret? Part of him is a little resentful of Emily for mucking up his plans.
• What makes your character laugh out loud? Anything on memebase.
• When has your character been in love? Had a broken heart? The closet thing he ever felt to being in love was with his best friend from middle school.
Then dig deeper by asking more unconventional questions:
• What is in your character’s refrigerator right now? On her bedroom floor? On her nightstand? In her garbage can?: Fridge: Sprite, Milk, Apple Juice, cheese, a bunch of fruits and veggies, some bottles for when he puts Emily to sleep.
Bedroom floor: Nothing. He's a bit of a neat freak when it comes to his apartment. Whenever he has a chance he's tidying up whatever mess there is.
• Look at your character’s feet. Describe what you see there: When he's at work he's wearing dress shoes. Just because he has to dress nice and what not. When he's out of work he prefers chucks, or being barefoot when he can.
• When your character thinks of her childhood kitchen, what smell does she associate with it?: All sorts of baked goods. His mother runs her own bakery, so she was always trying out new recipes at home.
• Your character is doing intense spring cleaning. What is easy for her to throw out? What is difficult for her to part with? Why?: There's nothing really other then photos and books that he has difficulty parting with.
• Your character is getting ready for a night out. Where is she going? What does she wear? Who will she be with?: On the rare night that he actually gets to go out? He's going to Sissy K's for karaoke with some coworkers. He just wears whatever is clean and he thinks will look ok.
