Some bozo did not have his load tied in, and at mission on 880 south, lost a sheet of plywood.
It bounced, and then started rolling edge first like the biggest damned throwing star you have ever seen.
I managed to swerve around most of it, but clipped it with my left boot. The gouge in the leather might have been deeper, had not my shin and knee absorbed much of the energy.
BUT... I now know that the ABS on my bike actually works, unless that shuddery/vibrating feeling was just my sphincter repeatedly achieving and then losing vapour-lock on my seat at a high duty-cycle. :)
