Does your mother have a history of political apathy? Does she have no basic understanding of the political system or the complex structure of American society in general? Does she complain about the fucked up education system, lack of access to healthcare, and corporate control, yet vote for Republican policies that reinforce these very things? Does she vote for the one your dad voted for (Republican, of course) simply because decisions are too confusing? Does she go on long, uninvited, unsubstantiated political rants about the evils of Democrats? Does she accuse you of being "close-minded' and "ignorant" when you try to engage her in a sincere political discussion?
