Music and Mumblings
So a few days ago I watched this movie "Not in Our Town," it was about racism, and hate crimes, etc. It wasn't that great of a movie, American History X still remains one of the best movies of all time, but at least it got me to think.
The main reason for all human action is the will to power.
That is, we all want power instinctively, as humans. Actions are all motivated by selfishness. Don't misunderstand me, this doesn't change the concept of morality or give any excuses for actions. "Good" actions are still good, I just believe that they still have some overriding desire for the self. When you donate to a charity (Like Precious soon will be), it is not just to help others, it is for the self-fulfillment, and the tax write-off.
I think that this will to power also explains why there is hate, war, etc. By denouncing someone, you gain power over them. By the mere claim that you are superior, you become superior, in terms of a sheer mental power scale. Hence why I myself seek to dominate those I hold contempt for.
