Caught the end of Baby Dee (never heard of him / her!) which had some pounding piano but not to my taste. However the band was very tight and controlled, and went on to become the Current 93 band for the main performance ( Read more... )

Sounds like a good night. I was a really big fan of Coil in the 90's which was one of Marc Almond's solo projects. Not much singing though, mostly electronic.

huh? which band are you referring to? afaik marc almond did vocals on one track on love's secret domain, but coil was mainly pete "sleazy" christopherson (of TG) and jhon balance... love's secret domain and the related EP were consider electronic but most of their stuff has vocals / half spoken stuff.

My confusion, I loved 'Loves Secret Domain' and read somewhere or someone told me at the time it was a Marc Almond project. It's been ages since I've heard it, to be honest. I remember being really into it but I don't have it anymore - I can't remember if it ended up with an ex-boyfriend or I sold it somewhere back. I sold 3/4 of my music when I moved back to the UK in 2000.

well i guess it's kind of true, it's a project that he was involved in as he sings on one of the tracks, so i guess you were right :) loves secret domain isn't particularly representative of the rest of their catalogue, check out horse rotorvator and the ape of naples for the early and late stuff respectively.

Thanks, I am making a new list of stuff to re-discover :)
We move into our new place tomorrow, new baby in about 6 weeks so it's a whole new phase beginning. I'll be sending you an invite to the house warming at the end of May once we are in.
