Ch #: 4, Anger's Arrival

The day had shifted into night as the sound of strong wind could be heard blowing through the forest. In the dark of the night a small ship moved almost silently, sounding like a breeze as it skimmed the treetops. It was relatively small only able to carrying five or six passengers. The ship darted through the night heading southwest darting out of sight at a breaking speed.
The soldiers has been preparing for sometime as they had been informed last minute of Commander Anger’s arrival as they fell into rank as they entered the hangar.
Phantom soon arrived in the Hangar seeing most of the Froyo in rank she allowed herself to smile a little. Dodger was diligent as always no matter what the situation. She wore her officer uniform like dodger except for her own personal ‘skin’ as the recruit referred to it as. The red undershirt and the black fatigues covered by her red six button overcoat reaching to her knees with black pin stripes. Or her right arm a whole was tailored in to show off her Droid. It was a lust red with the words, ‘always keep the faith’, to reminder her of better days.
Dodger’s uniform resembled her in tailor but not in personalization bearing a dark blue and black theme with the hole tailored in over her heart displaying the sky blue droid. Phantom walked over to join her as the troops saluted her as the hanger ceiling opened. This was one of the most complex room in the base having to be hidden but allow transports access. Having a two retractable door hidden within a rock face did this successfully but this also restricted the size of ships allowed.
The doors were opened as the short-range comm. had been received from Anger’s transport. Dodger stood unmoving at the head of her troops. Phantom stared out into the dark of the night, with Anger’s arrival and knowing what they knew now, the war was about to ignite in full force again.
The black crafted floated into the hangar silently. Anger had said there was going to be a surprise but this ship was quite impressive as it landed. The cabin top split as the soldier exited the craft first taking point on either side. Anger was a stoic man who stood tall and unnerving in the face of even the direst situation. The quiet, stern expression on Anger’s face seemed to allude to a mind always running and processing every possible scenario. Although this far from hid that he was a handsome man, who in a different life could have been anything.
Anger approached them as he gave nod to dodger. “So what has the Supreme Droid worried enough to bring all three of us out here?” as they began to walk through the hangar. The troops formation breaking in half to allow them through.
“We have a problem, Adam is present on the front lines” dodger chimed in as the walked down the empty corridors heading
“Also we are almost certain that his siblings will be arriving shortly. We believe Master OS o be making a offensive to try and end the war.” Phantom said as she sat down crossing her legs.
“Interesting…well, we have much to consider.” As he pulled out the update blocks from his jacket pocket as he set them on the table. “But for the moment I have brought you the newest updates to enhance your augmentations.
Phantom looked at the cubes they were her upgrades, she had originally lost her sight in the first attack by the apple corps and dodger had lost her arm during her battle with A-9 which had caused her to retreat.
“What do they do?” she asked as she picked up her packet and tossed dodger’s hers.
“Enhances field of view, added sniper adjustments which automatically calculate for wind sheer and other factors so you no longer have too, and we have enhanced low light to night vision to lag free rendering so you have better night time capabilities.” Anger said as he stood from his chair “Though one more question how did we find out Adam was present at the base and their intentions?”
“We were operating a sleeper maneuver to send a operative into the base and possibly convert some members to the droid side. She was captured and tortured until Adam arrived…we are afraid Master OS has upgraded him to assimilate soldiers forcibility “
“Impossible, our OS are completely incompatible with each other…”
Phantom loaded the audio files and the data stream showing the corruptions and conversion along with the soldier screams and she shivered to her core.
“What…what is that?” anger staring at his HUD
“That was our operative’s, Dream, last moments before Adam converted her using something we haven’t seen before. “ she said.
Dodger picked up the upgrade as she clenched her fist. She had lost her arm to Adam in her first fight. “We have to mount an offensive before the siblings arrive or we will fail.”
