Sometimes, you just want to do something different.
I was starting to feel like the multitude of blogs and journals I was maintaining was fragmenting me. Once upon a time, it seemed to make sense; plus it was an excuse to stretch design muscles. Now it just feels wrong. So splinters is re-absorbing babble-mode and FoodGirl (PlantGirl is deader than my windowbox).
Sadly, the new and improved splinters can't live in the root of the site just yet, because I can't figure out a way to import all the two thousand-plus entries into WordPress, but I also don't want to just kill the archives. Therefore, everything will live here until I get it sorted.
If you're reading this via feed in, for example, LiveJournal, you should (soon) get the full post, with formatting, pictures and the whole nine yards. I still don't get notification of comments, though, so if you comment to a feed rather than here, it may take me a while to notice it.
Anyway. I'm hoping the new version of splinters, which is remarkably similar to the original version of splinters, is more fun for me to maintain, and more entertaining for you to read.
