Yep that's right today's the European release date for Rammstein's newest album called Reise, Reise. I'm highly excited, since they were one of my favorite bands in 10th grade, and they are what exposed my sister to German, and inspired her to minor in it at CSUN. It's their first album in over three years since their 2001 release Mutter. Since it had been a long time since I had heard anything about Rammstein, I feared they broke up or stopped making albums, but this news made me feel happy.
I found out about their new album about a couple of months ago through a press release on their website, but I was upset to hear that the September 27th release was the European release and the American release was not until November 9th. Despite the fact it just only came out in Europe and it's not available in America, I was able to get a hold of the album, I have my ways ;).
I'm currently listening to it for the first time now as I type this entry, and I'm quite happy with it. It's definitely a Rammstein album, but it's a done in a different style than their previous three, and I quite like it. I know I'll be listening to this album for quite a while, and I'll be sure to buy it when it comes out in America on Nov. 9th.
Here's the track listing of Reise Reise:
[01] Reise, Reise - 4:12
[02] Mein Teil - 4:33
[03] Dalai Lama - 5:39
[04] Keine Lust - 3:43
[05] Los - 4:24
[06] Amerika - 3:47
[07] Moskau - 4:17
[08] Morgenstern - 4:00
[09] Stein um Stein - 3:53
[10] Ohne dich - 4:32
[11] Amour - 4:51
And I know my mom will probably never see this since she has no interest in Live Journal what so ever, but I would like to wish her a Happy Birthday.
