(no subject)
Wow, it's been a couple WEEKS since I've updated! Life sure is exciting. ;-) But for real, life is very interesting. I love how it's always changing. What happens one week of my life never happens again.
God is really teaching me two things right now; patience, and contentment. Patience to wait for His timing. I need a job now in order to drive my car, and yet it's not His time and so I wait. And I'm learning to wait PATIENTLY. It's hard, but God is good, and FAITHFUL to pursue the sin in our hearts and weed it out.
And contentment. Wow. That's a huge thing. It's realizing that what you want now is not meant for now and what you have now you may never have in the future. There are things I want to do and people I want to be with that is just not meant for now. It's definately meant for the future, but I worry that maybe those same people won't be around when it's my time. But then God showed me that maybe those people aren't meant to be "my" people. And I have to trust Him. I have to trust Him more than I love those people. And that is incredibly hard. I need to learn not to make people idols in my heart. And I also have to trust Him that He will bring the right group of us together at the right time. I've seen a lot of kids mess it up and I don't want that for my age group. So I have to wait and not be anxious. TOUGH LIFE LESSONS!
So summer is here! It hasn't been glamorous yet, but I have high hopes. ;-) Hehehe.
