(no subject)
So whatever reason, as I was rinsing off after working out...several hours ago (I started talking to Chelsey online and just prolonged changing and all that), I had a sudden urge to write in my live journal. Basically to put up the latest news...not that it's actually new, well it is but it happened at the end of August...but it is still a very new idea to get used to
Well anyways,
ERIN IS GETTING MARRIED! I know, shocking right? But then I guess it should not be too surprising since she is indead 27. I'm excited to be a bridesmaid, Andrea might be since it's her own sister but Andrea has been a bridesmaid 20 gazillion times so it's really not too knew to her (okay like three times or something like that but that is still alot).
So here's how it happened. Okay, well she broke up with Scott, her boyfriend of four or so years in...January? idk it was cold outside. sometime this winter. maybe it was february. Rick (new boyfriend) came for her birthday in march is all i know and I was sick and yeh it was alot of fun. Well anywho, she started dating Rick shortly after, Erin is not one to have gaps in between relationships...
So in April is transferred from her job to Blufton, which is near Hilton Head, which oh surprisingly enough Rick lives there! (yeh being sarcastic) So they have been living together ever since. Mom was sad when Erin moved out (yes she was living at home at the age of 27), but I mean...she is 27...
So yes, we are all very shocked about the engagment. Oh and they are getting married in March which does not give very much planning time. I personally will want a June wedding. But it's kind of exciting i guess, espicially the bridesmaid part and getting to look all pretty in a dress, but then really weird at the same time. I dont like the idea of losing my sister.
Oh and Andrea and Patrick broke up this summer, other pretty big news since they dated for like four years.
So basically all of us Pickens girls got rid of some baggage this past year. Me-Garrison, Andrea-Patrick, and Erin-Scott. But it seems like they have been having more luck in the romance field than I am. Okay no it doesnt seem, they are haha. Well obviously Erin is since she is engaged. She was not single long at all-maybe two months.
Andrea and Patrick broke up in July and by the end of July she was talking with other boys and has been dating people and weighing her options.
I .....have been single for eight months...and it kind of mildly sucks. I mean sure being single is fun and all but I def. want a bf. kdjakdjaskljda yeh. I haven't been "dating around" or anything like Andrea. Maybe it's because I'm younger who knows. "Chasing around" is more like it. haha ok no i'm not chasing. Well not anymore. That was this summer. I do not chase now though. Chasing is bad, people do not do it. I mean I think it was pretty apparent to everyone at books-a-million that I liked David. If they didn't well, then now they do if they read this haha. I dont really care.
Let's just say, I made a fool of myself and the following week I was saved by going on vacation to Disney World for a little over a week. By the time I got back I didn't care too much about him and I worked there for another week or two before I left him to continue working at Books-a-million or some other low paying job and not be ambitious at all and I left to go start a career at college.
That was one thing that killed me about Books-a-Million. Everyone was really cool, don't get me wrong, I liked everybody. But there was a certain little clique that thought they were so so so cool. And I just did not understand that, because they were probably going to continue working at that retail, low paying, lack of air-conditioning hell hole without a college education- not going to greenville tech or anything-and can just think that they are sooo incredibly cool! I mean hello, I am going to actually do something with my life while you continue to drink like fish and smoke pot. But anyways...(yeh Jessi I'm not talking about you at all if you could not tell.)
Soo yeh def. went on a tangent and I need to go to bed.
