this post is in response to julia's. you see people that think they are unique and individual are people who end up walking all over other people's emotions because they think it shows their individuality. or at least they hope it will.

inside i think they truely know that it is wrong and mean...
they know that what they are doing hurts others

and they know that it goes against what they are trying to
make a statement towards.

but apparently before you can be an individual,
you have to follow them, act like them, be them.
that's when you are allowed in the club.
that's when you get the bumper sticker.

that's when you get a pin that they all wear that say's
"i'm an individual because my hair is this color and i am a person
they want me to be

and then you are told to be an individual means that you can't talk to
anyone you want, if they aren't unique.
you can't be yourself
so you give in to peer pressure because you are told it is cool... you are told it is individual.

so you hide behind this mask of temporary eliteness
a mask of someone else's individuality.
but a time will come.

a time will come where you realize that your form of fake is the worst kind.
that what you have been doing has been a shame
that you have denied the biggest cliche of all:
being yourself.

and go ahead, look like you're happy. look like you are better than the rest
of us. but when your guard is down,
when you least expect it
that's when your worried look

will show that that time has come.
that the time has come.
that you now realize.
so go ahead. hide behind your mask.

but while you cover up, know that the rest of us are peeking.
know that we have caught on.
know that we know who you really are.
know that we know what you say.

but worst of all. know that you hurt us.
