Interesting that you would have a punch but not the software, actually.
There's also free programs just like it, if you ever want to go further into learning animation than the course you're taking now I would suggest getting some king of program like that, it'll really help. I could probably actually..email you a version that is not a demo as long as you'd be ok using it (it's downloaded, but if you're a student and you're not using it commercially I wouldn't be worried).
It also has an auto peg registration for when you do scan stuff in. But also you would need a webcam, not sure if you have one of those. And some way of standing it up over your paper. Jeez this is sounding like more and more work :p Anyway, Boris and I built one out of plastic tubing pieces that screw together (there's like elbow pieces to keep the long parts together)that you can get in the plumbing section of Home Depot. I wouldn't expect you to go out and do this but I thought I'd just let you know about it.

but anyway, cool you're already using regular paper xD Animation paper is a lot more expensive, but I think if you're serious about it it's really worth it since the surface, thickness and overall feel of the paper can be important. The paper usually needs to be durable enough to be worked a few times and it's gotta be able to take flipping creases.

You could also look through this site (http://www.jrawebinar.com/body.htm), there's some nice examples of different stages of animation (I've just been watching the free sample clips on the webinars page) that are pretty nice and inspiring.

Oooh, I see. I'll think about it. I don't really have the room or the resources right now to do any traditional animation outside of class, but...we'll see.
