Wow! What a week...
I have to say that I've loved most of it even if it's been crazy and I've learned that many of my classmates are kinda jerks.
Carnival was surprisingly wonderful if not very very sticky. Grace totally kicked ice cream ass which was amazing. Katie made me cry, and I think made a lot of other people cry as well but it was remarkable. And the whole thing ended on a tinge of sadness though because it was our last one...but it was a good sad not a bad sad so that worked....
Monday was senior tea and Honors and Awards both of which were much better than I thought they were going to be. Tea was surprisingly classy and well done. The teachers were all there and we all talked and chatted and made merry. We all got crysanthimums (spelling????) or whatever type of flower they were and it was just very nostalgic and surpringly fun (even though Johanna was all sniffly and not feeling particularly well). Honors and Awards was wonderful, I got the Choir directors award which was fantastic and exciting since it was just me and Jason up there recieving it. I went in on Tuesday to thank Mr. Crouch and he said that the look on my face after recieving the award was priceless and that he thought it was great so that was really nice as well.
Tuesday was a somewhat cloudy senior BBQ but it was fun and we spent all of fifth period just munching away and then being really really full afterwards. So that was nice and then that night was the concert which....wow...was beyond fantastic. We made EVERYONE cry ourselves included. Danny Boy was the start of it and everyone fell apart starting then and then we ended with Daniel...which I wasn't thrilled with...but everyone else said kicked major butt and then seniors got flowers (which was wonderful) and then we sang the lord bless you and keep you and everyone disolved and then speeches were made to Crouch and that was the end of it in terms of dry eyes. Everyone burst into tears and no one could deal and we finished and then went back into the room where we had warmed up and we cried some more and recieved flowers and Crouch gave me a big hug and thanked me for all my work in the choir and it was just a really wonderful way to end it all.
And then Prom...omg I can't even begin to describe how wonderful it was. Matt was a complete sweet-heart the entire night. The Lighthouse was BEAUTIFUL...like stunningly so and everyone looked elegant and gorgeous and amazing. It wound up being such a classy event that it made me proud to be there. It was too short though which was sad but it was amazing.
Afterparty was...ummm...interesting....I wasn't as proud to be at that but that's all right, lots of people got drunk which was interesting to watch while being sober....and then got high which was also interesting to watch while being sober....all in all it wasn't so bad for me and my groupies :-D but I felt bad for the mom who was in charge of the house....cuz that must've blown...
Anyway...I have so many people to still get to sign my yearbook which I hope happens...it's slightly stressful to know that that all still has to get done...but that's okay....
I'm getting more and more nostalgic as I get closer to the end. For all it's insanity I'm really gonna miss this school and the people in it. I hope that most of us stay in touch and I hope that these folks all go on to do the great things I know they're capable of.
I'm so exhausted so I'd better go but thank you to everyone who made last night possible and most of all my friends who made my night that much more enjoyable.
Love to all...
