Painting for fun! (and money too)
So I'm starting my second painting for the BMoA (Bakersfield Museum of Art) as the first one is done. I looked high and low for something that I could paint. The show is of 5"x5" canvas where you take a piece of a photo or photograph and paint it on the small canvas. lol, basically it's icon making with paint! :D Anyways, the first one was of a photo I took of some Almond blossoms. The second I figured I could really show off my painting skills. So I picked Botticelli's Birth of Venus. And this is the first sketch of the painting.
