Hey everybody!
Ok...some of you are going to think that I am completely retarded for doing this, but I signed up to do a graduation speech. I showed it to Darya already and she liked it, so I figured why not show it to everyone else and see what you guys think about it.......here it is....

Good evening honored guests, fellow students, parents, and teachers. My name is Kaitlyn Verardo. I came to Hillside as a nervous, quiet, and insecure seventh grader. I came knowing only the people I knew from elementary school. I didn’t know what I was going to do having six different classes, six different teachers, and having many more people around me. Well of course the first semester was difficult. To be honest, at that time, I hated middle school, I wanted to go back to elementary school, be with my old friends, and have only one teacher! As the year dragged on, it got better, I began to make new friends, my grades were up to a 3.5 grade point average, and I had joined National Junior Honor Society. Although I felt accomplished by the end of the year, I still couldn’t wait until summer.
That summer I became less insecure, I told myself that for my eighth grade year I was going to be confident and talkative, and to my great surprise, it worked! I made quite a few new friends and, I am a lot more talkative. I became more involved with Hillside. I did some volunteer work for the school with the National Junior Honor Society. I maintained at least a 3.0 grade point average, stayed involved with National Junior Honor Society and the GATE program, and I had made the volleyball team and helped lead them to the first place championship. I also found that eighth grade is a lot easier, and a lot more fun than seventh grade. Being an eighth grader made me feel more confidant, being one of the oldest students in the school. The eighth grade also has more activities. For example, we had an assembly called the Signature Project. It was about a man named Patrick Dunning. The signature project is made from 171 canvas panels, with a total of one million, eight thousand and sixteen signatures of people that he has met over the years. The signature project is supposed to be completed in the year 2012. The project also has many hidden features on it such as, a recipe, and music. We also had Portfolio Day, which is when we presented some work that we did throughout the year to random people out of the community. We had a yearbook signing party and a pool party. Another special assembly that was offered to the eighth grade was the Renee Firestone assembly. Renee Firestone is a World War Two Holocaust survivor. Those are just a couple of the exciting things that went on this year at Hillside for the eighth grade. I would now like to take the time to thank the entire Hillside staff for making Hillside a fun and exciting place to be. I would also like to thank all of the parents for helping us throughout the years. Most of all, I want to wish 2004’s eighth grade class the best of luck toward our future high school years. I hope you all have a safe and exciting summer! Congratulations, Hillside’s class of 2004!

OK I want you guys to be totally honest with me and tell me what you think, post anonymos if you want, just be honest with me!
