Character: Hozuki Suigetsu
Character age: 17
Preferred pairing: Crack pairings, of any orientation. As a general rule, the less canon-plausible it is, the more interested I'll be. Just run any ideas by me.
Occupation: None so far. He's in the market.

Character history:

When Suigetsu was a child, he lived in a small coastal town that attracted the surfer crowd. He absorbed that lifestyle, and a yearning for the ocean he hasn't seen for nearly half his life still runs through his veins.

However, he's lived with his family in a smoggy land-bound city since he was nine. Like many teens, he doesn't get along with his parents. But Suigetsu's a daredevil; on the first day of the spring semester, he skipped school and hitched a ride out of town.

He survived on the cash he got for the holidays, hitchhiking towards his coastal hometown. Recently, he celebrated his birthday by buying an impressive-looking knife and a crappy little tent; and now, mere weeks into his quest, he's broke.

He's set up his tent outside a dinky town called Konoha, almost halfway to his destination, and has decided to make some cash before moving on. His short-term goals are finding a job and saving up money; his long-term goals are getting a vehicle (preferably something cool like a pickup) and making it to the coast before his eighteenth birthday.

Suigetsu's cheerful and hard to piss off, but that won't stop him from picking a fight just for fun. Treat him to lunch, tell a few dirty jokes, or admire his knife, and he'll be your new best friend. But he'd still fight you.

Sample post:

Time for lunch, and that meant Suigetsu was checking every vending machine he could find for forgotten change. Today, he managed to collect $1.25 before he made it to his final goal: McDonald's. Purveyor of all things tasty and 99¢. Suigetsu even had an extra quarter to splurge. (Not counting taxes. He despised taxes.)

But instead, he decided to be cheap (as usual) and just get a cheeseburger and the free cup of water. Which left him (after taxes) eighteen cents to add to his steadily-growing Buy Suigetsu An Awesome Pickup Fund. If he did this every day, and assumed that he could find a used vehicle for $500, then he'd be able to buy one in, like... a decade.

The cashier handed him his bag and an empty cup. Suigetsu thanked her quite sincerely, filled the cup with orange Fanta instead of water, swiped an order of fries from the tray of a man facing the wrong way, and headed out the door without looking back.

He fumbled to get his stolen fries into the same bag as his burger without dropping anything. Maybe he should apply for a job at McDonald's, he mused, considering that he pretty much had their menu memorized by now--and then he dropped his soda.

He stared at it for a moment. Then shrugged, and kept walking, leaving the cup behind. It wasn't like he'd paid for it. And he could always stop at a water fountain; after all, water was free.
