Happy things

- The Lost Prince fandom is totally growing. Just so everyone knows, every time someone reads this book, a fairy gets its wings. Okay, no, I'm lying. But you should get in at the ground floor, this is definitely the next juggernaut fandom. DEFINITELY.

...Fine, I'm still lying. But I'm also happy. The fandom may, one day, have as many as ten people in it. :D:D:D:D:D:D

- I am listening (in some cases re-listening) to A History of the World in 100 Objects, which is all free to download at that link and which is 100 fifteen-minute BBC radio programmes with the terribly erudite Director of the British Museum talking about 100 amazing things in the British Museum. There's a really lovely focus on cultural contact and shared human history, and a lot of trying to look at things through different lenses - asking an artist for his response to an ancient carving, that kind of thing. It's all making me terribly patriotic, because it's all so lovely and BBC-ish and full of interesting people and things and the ♥British Museum♥.

- All the dirt-related bare patches on the kitten's face and neck have now regrown hair.

- I'm rewatching Psych from the beginning. This is a happy thing, but it also makes me sad, because yeah, it's really not so good any more, is it? :( And they're ruining Gus. But to focus on the happiness: GUS IS AMAZING. SHAWN IS AMAZING. JULIET IS AMAZING. THE CHIEF IS AMAZING. They are all so young and pretty! (Shawn, in particular, has somewhat lost his looks. Not to be shallow, but I'd forgotten how nice the man's cheekbones were. And how bendy he was.) And Gus is so competent and intelligent and weird and neurotic and beautiful! And it's fucking funny.

- Dad is arriving on Saturday, and bringing anti-allergy stuff. Thank fuck, because I have actually woken myself up sneezing the last couple of nights. Yes, this would be solved by not letting the kitten sleep on my face, but eh, what can you do? *has never been very good at being sensible about allergies*

-
muccamukk made up a Sinbad drinking game, and it's great. (Also, remember how I was like, "lol, i loved them best only has 9 hits because it is ridic obscure to write Laxdaela saga fanfic"? (It has 17 now, how the fuck did that happen?) Well, that Sinbad femslash has four. God, this fandom really doesn't exist. IT'S SO UNFAIR, THEY'RE ALL SO PRETTY. Although I have just beta'd a gorgeous fic by
muccamukk, so that's good. :D)
