many things

Sad day in the Alvarado house. 2 of my housemates' fathers are not in good health. One has cancer that spread so much that chemo is now not possible; the other is about to have triple by-pass surgery. And both these fathers have mothers who are pretty much on their death bed, it seems. So, tears and praying.

In other news, world politics are crashing in my mind = confusion. (but, that's cool)

China and Iran have a new deal for oil, which could potentially mess up the US's interest in Iran for oil:

A perspective from a 22 year old soldier in Iraq - he doesn't believe the war is for oil or US imperialism:

And can you believe this, I am Asian; I just hope it's not for real:

Plus, I forced myself to watch a bit of the "O'Reiley Factor" on FOX News, and I nearly barfed. In my righteous perspective, I begged that others watching knew this guy was giving HIS opinion and not "this is an objective view of the world right now" news cast. He went off about how the Iraq elections are a good day for the "good guys." Whether it was a good or bad day, using the words "for the good guys" just made me feel like I was 8 years old watching GI-JOE. I just couldn't believe the simplicity. I may be sounding arrogant, but these ARE current events tied to a long history - it's not so simple as the "good guys" versus the "bad guys." At least I can say I say it.

I read a bit from my friend Eric's blog. He mentioned something about Corporate Social Responsibility with the Davis Business Law Journal. It seems I may be joining that realm - again! ahhh. Not business again! ok, it's not so bad. maybe i'll get over the bitterness.
In the perspective of the above, bitterness just falls to the side.
