Manifest Destiny
Manifest destiny is said to mean “God given destiny”. In the late 19th and 20th century the Manifest Destiny was involved by the US thought it was their god given right to expand from Coast to Coast or from the Atlantic to the Pacific.
When World War 1 came around the United States was trying to be a neutral party. This lasted until the US realized money could be made in selling supplies to Britain while they were in War with Germany. There are two different reasons that are said to why the US really got hardcore in to the war. The first reason was said by Britain is that Russia had stopped backing Britain against Germany which weekend Britain to the point where they might loose the War. This was bad for the U.S because we had been lending money to Britain when they had low funds and if they lose the war we would not get that money back. So the US didn’t want this and began to help Britain fight in the war, which in turn brought the US into World War 1. The US had a different in view on why we entered the war though we said that Germany had talked to Mexico and said if they attacked the US then Germany would give back land lost by Mexico. The US had intercepted this transmission and this forced the US to join World War 1 against Germany.
