Beijing airport big brother

There's internet at the Air China lounge in Beijing airport, and it's free and fairly responsive. Accessing stuff in the US or in Europe is not problem.

However, as so often here, they have the weirdest filters. Getting on the wifi gives you access to mail (smtp, imap, over ssl and no ssl), to IM, and so on. However, getting to port 80 (regular web) requires an additional password for the "web authorization centre". And not all websites are authorized. LJ is fine, ditto wordpress, but blogger is too dangerous. Same goes for twitter and facebook. I can get at both of those with iPhone apps, but no accessing them on the web. Weird stuff.
