Today is Celebrate Bisexuality Day. The local bi group had originally planned a party, but with the glb org moving to new space and things being in a bit of flux, we opted insted for a Bi Brunch. And for the first time in ages I was home and able to go; in fact, it's the first time in ages I've been to anything at all in the glb org, really. Let me just say that having a job with constant travel is not improving my local social life.
The brunch was a lot of fun; I met
matildenanna face-to-face, and had a chance to hear a bit about BiCon and travels and more.
clawbug was there, and even if we didn't get to talk much, it was good to see him again - it's been far too long. I met other good friends, I met a couple of very nice new people, and I got involved in interesting discussions of the new puritanism and the politics of sex and sexuality, local politics in general, and just all around fun socializing.
After the brunch I walked with V a bit and got updated on what's up with her.
So, maybe not a lot of bisexuality or celebration, but a really nice day.
