London baby yeah!
So London we are leaving London for Glasgow in the morning and going to find an alternating route to Edinberg. Today we saw London Bridge, London Tower, and tower bridge. The London bridge is absolutely nothing special. The London Tower is an old castle and it happens to be where henry the 8th beheaded his two wives and it is also where the royal jewels are kept it was pretty cool. Today there was a 62 gun salute for the anniversary of the Queens inognogration(after about the first 10 or so our heads were pounding b/c by guns apparently they meant GIANT CANNONS) Tower Bridge is the bridge that we Americans think of when we talk about the London Bridge, so we were walking across it and see all that water made me relize that i was desperate to use the WC so we (sarah and i) leave Kim and Micheal to go to the other side of the bridge as we go back to the WC. We were suppose to meet in 10 mins back on our side when we came out the bridge was raised so we asked how long it would be and were told 15 mins or so. After 30 we found out that it wouldnt go back down, so Micheal and Kim had to find another way back. So after walking down the Thames River for 20 mins we finally meet up.
Then we return to St Pauls Cath. and yes it was awesome but it made me really ill. There was gold and marble everywhere and it just made me mad because there are poor people everywhere and this church was the nicest thing i have ever seen. We climbed to the top of the whispering something and then to the next level and as we went to the stairs to go the the very top i look up and they are spiral metal mesh (for you that dont know i am scared of heights) and i try to refuse but they keep saying i have gone 2/3 of the the 523 stairs just keep going. The climb was scary, the walk around the top was scarier and the climb down was the worst i was crying like a little school girl and shaking like a leaf.
So My rating for London is about a 9.0 the only reason it didnt get a 10 is b/c it is crazy expensive. I cant post pics at our hostel but i will soon.
