The weekend
This weekend was an absolutely beautiful Seattle weekend. The sun was shining, it was about 60 degrees. We sat on our front porch swing and basked in the heat.....ahhh...and then in true Seattle style it dumped rain this morning on my drive into work. And they're even saying it has the potential to snow this week. Lame!
We got a ton of stuff done around the house this weekend, washed the cars, put in some new lighting, did some yard work. My mom's still in town (til Thursday) so we brought dinner over to Jen's last night to hang out with the little guy. I was telling Paul, it's so nice to have visitors but I can't wait to have the house back to ourselves for a while after Ian, Matt, and my mom here over the past couple weeks.
I'm a little disappointed that Valentine's Day will not be observed in my house this year. According to Paul it's just a Hallmark holiday anyway. It would've been a nice excuse for us to have a dinner date (which hasn't happened in as long as I can remember). It's hard though considering my mom is staying with us. Oh, well there's always next year and I guess he spoiled me enough last year.
