january 4th sucks.
1 year ago today i quit track and my life has lacked discipline ever since.
we put brook lynn to sleep this morning. we've been joking around about it for like 5 years but it was still upsetting. i hope she wasn't in pain for a long time while we joked around about her being old. dad and i took her to the vet's office and cried on the way home until we saw an open horse trailer. there was a horse wearing a sweater inside and dad said, "ooo let's bring one of those home to mom!" we laughed and it made everything better.
