Friday's Adventures

Nov 21, 2004 22:22

During the early portion of this week I had planned to ask if Vanessa and Justine would like to go with me to the Pink for Purcell dance at our school. I realized however that I had fencing class during it, so I gave up on that plan.

On Friday, Justine asked me if Vanessa had already invited me to go with them to the dance, and since she hadn't, she invited me. I had to see if my parents would let me skip fencing first, so I said that they should call me around 5:10 (since I had bowling tryouts after school) and find out if I could go. By the time I got back, Vanessa had already called, so I called them back. I ended up talking with Vanessa, and was invited to go again. I checked with my mom and she said that I could skip fencing if I wanted. I switched into a somewhat better shirt than my "Involuntary Volunteer" one, and since I didn't have a better idea, I went and wandered around the Barnes and Noble at 6 and Haggerty until it was time to head to the dance.

I greatly enjoyed myself, and I thank both Vanessa and Justine for inviting me. I did dance for pretty much the whole time, other than the brief periods of wandering outside, and had fun with the game of copy the dance move. I do apologize to Vanessa for my distractedness during parts of the dance and the discussion outside. As you said, Lowell wasn't there, or at least not all of Lowell. I don't even know where he went.

After the dance, I was invited to come with Justine and Vanessa to Ann Arbor to visit Tomes. We ended up taking both my car and Justine’s. Shortly after we left the school parking lot, Justine ended up reaching someone else that she had wanted to visit, so Vanessa and I went to Barnes and Noble to wait for Justine to finish with that before continuing on to visit Tomes. I enjoyed myself greatly. Mike P. showed up partway through, apparently having escaped from fencing class, and joined us. We were eventually forced to leave when Barnes and Noble closed. We stood around outside next to my car for quite a while talking in the rain.(I did suggest that we move into my car, but was pretty much ignored) I don’t mind getting a little wet, but I didn’t want anyone to get sick, and Vanessa looked really cold. After a while, Mike realized that he had an umbrella in his car, and went to fetch it. Justine showed up a while after that. Mike suggested we go to get food, so we traveled over to the Tim Horton’s located nearby. Justine and Vanessa were recalled home by their parents, so we all split up after this.

Once again, I thank both Vanessa and Justine for inviting me. I’m glad that you were convinced to call me.
