I stayed up one night last semester and watched this obscure indie film, a bunch of unknown actors, about a guy basically walking around droopily mourning something we don't yet know about, and is purposefully alluded to in an obscure manner. We eventually find he's homosexual, and are somewhat led to believe he's experienced a breakup and has his sights on a new man, who he keeps searching for at a certain bar. Along the way, there are many flashbacks and dreamlike sequences which aren't separated from the plot in any way, leaving us unsure what is real and what isn't. In the end, after tromping about town with this new guy for a night, he takes him to a field and guts him with a knife, during which we see a flashback where the 'new' man and his group of gay-bashing friends have the main character and his previous lover surrounded on the sidewalk. The new guy makes the lover of the protagonist give him head, and then stabs him to death. He then cuts the protagonist, telling him, "You're mine", and leaves the two lying in the street.
I'm not sure why I stayed up and watched the entire thing. It just wasn't very good. For no particular reason, really--the film as a whole just wasn't very good. The things we do to waste time.
