I have to apply for the tribe's higher education program before Saturday. I really hate it because...well, I have to write a letter. I hate writing letters for FUN, and now I have to tell them about my family and what I want to go to school for. I have no idea how to describe my feelings about my family in a few paragraphs. I could go into depth but I get a feeling they won't read it too lengthily. Then again, these are people I am somewhat related to in one way or another (either familial or by association).
In less serious news...I have 11 mice. Eleven Mice. Nine are babies but won't be babies for much longer. Next week I'm separating the males and females so that there won't be further impregnation (though I have the sneaking suspicious daddy #1 knocked up mama mouse right after she gave birth) because I'd hate to have to find another fish tank. I don't really wanna give them up, either, cos I have a feeling they'd end up as snake food.
And the best news ever! My mom was looking through the paper and found a breeder for welsh corgis. She doesn't know if they're Cardigan or Pembroke but whichever is fine with me (even if I adore Pembroke more). I've been extremely excited about it to the point of losing sleep. The story goes that the dog that was being advertised in the paper already was given to an elderly couple but one of his dogs is giving birth within two weeks. So if I were to adopt one (after a most likely large adoption fee) then I would get a puppy in my stocking!
I haven't talked to my dad about it. Yikes.
Though I did tell Robin and she was not happy about it. When she heard I wanted a puppy, she told me it'd be ridiculously hard to find a place to live and that I'd end up regretting it. However...I believe that even if it would make it harder, it would in the long run make me happier than anything has in a long, long time. Giving up Diamond in the seventh grade was enough to make me cry ever since.
Anyway...After mom found all this out she called me and said that the breeder wants to meet us right after the puppies are born. It'll be amazing because we literally get the pick of the litter. He and my mom seemed to hit it off because the first thing she said was, "I think I made a new friend!" and if so...that'd be great because...discount! Ha!
I'm getting 1000$ from the tribe next week sometime...I'm putting away about 400$ of it so that I can pay for my own car insurance come the six months of it's current insurance (paid by Robin+Tony) expiring. I know for a fact the insurance will be more expensive than that but I am confident that I will have the rest of the money necessary for it by then. If not, I won't drive for a few weeks.
Speaking of my lovely Winston...I think I found a way to get a cassette player and AM/FM radio put in to replace the AM-only radio. What a score that would be, considering I don't listen to AM radio at all...ever. My dad listens for baseball games and little kids for Radio Disney but...no. I don't want to have to bring a boom box into the car if I want to listen to music. No, no, no!
As for today, I went and bought a bunch of mouse food because eleven mice eat up lots of food. The little ones started eating solid food and drinking water from the bottles so now I have to keep them stocked. They drink the water fast, too, so I bought a second water bottle for that cage. When the time comes and I need to separate them, I'll put the daddy #1 in the lil tank, the boys in one fish tank and the girls in the other. It'll work out. Especially if I figure out which gender group is biggest.
Also today, my little brother hung out with my mom and I. It was interesting since I don't see him much...Not to mention his recent run-ins with the law....Lil' jerk! Grrr! But I bought us some Dairy Queen and he went with us to the pet stores (Benny's Barn and Petsmart), though we did stop at a bicycle store.
I can't flippin' wait for that puppy! I'll die the minute I get to take her home!
