a real live update!

its been a while since I wrote and since dance practice is no longer an effective form of procrastination I shall update on my life. I don't even recall the last time i said anything about my life, but since it generally consists of school and studying there isn't much to say. so we had the AMC talent show last night. my parents and my sister tiff came to see the show and visit me. really i just wanted them to come visit me and the talent show was a good excuse for that. ash couldn't come because she was studying for AP bio exam that she has monday. the show went pretty well. i was super nervous for ballroom since i'd never done that kind of dance before on stage. it was fine until the VERY end when we messed something up, but other than that it was good. then i quickly changed into my other costume and watched the rest of the show until our bhangra performance at the end. the beginning of the dance was just the 5 girls doing a little classical thing which was fun, i enjoyed getting down to my classical roots. then there was a short bhangra part with the boys and then they did they justin timberlake thing and then we finished out with another bhangra piece. i had so much fun doing it and we had a lot of energy, so i think the crowd felt that. the only bad part about it was that it was only 3 min long, so literally as soon as you get into the dance its over. but it was good considering we did it like 2 weeks or less. we had just finished choreographing the Wednesday before the show and spent two days practicing so i was surprised at how well it all came together. so i had lunch with my fam during the day and then we had some practices and then i went home and got ready then came back for the show. post show we ordered some pizza and had dinner at home. they invited ankur for dinner too, which was nice. so we ate at my place and then the fam went home. the next time i go home will be towards the end of june, so it was nice that they came. after they left we went to legends and hung out with people for a bit. so, basically i had a lot of fun for the first two weeks of this theme and now i have a crap load of work to do, that i still have no desire to do..hence i am on LJ. anyhow. we have our gross anatomy final this friday and then two weeks after that we have our final for endo/repro and then we are DONE with first year! i am uber thrilled about this, but terrified of second year. for now though, i am just going to try and enjoy my summer as much as i can. reunion weekend is right after the final exam so that should be a fun weekend. then dan and jade's wedding is on june 16. then i'm going home for ash and tiff's graduations. then the following weekend is tiffany's bday so i'll be home for that. i'm hoping that my sisters will be staying with me for that week. then the weekend after that my cousin is having her son's baptism so i have to home for that. so three weekends in a row i'll be driving back and forth. the rest of the summer is open in terms of what to do, and there are things that i'd like to do..like a trip to lake george and saratoga and such.
after the exam i wanted to have a crepe party and make dinner and dessert crepes, so i think i might tell people to bring various crepe fillings and i'll make the crepes. i wanted to have a dinner party type gathering, but didn't feel like figuring out what to cook when this came to me. ok. thats the end of my rambling thoughts...time to actually do work.
