no color ratings this time, just commentary, since there's just two:

Blake
Song 1: You Give Love a Bad Name
My thoughts: Outfit was fine. I liked the performance the first time, and I still like it - it's different, it's original, and the arrangement has a nice reggae tone to it. I could deal without his attempts at dance moves though. Like the back and forth with the drummer. He's kind of in and out when he's running around with the mike. The first time he did it was better, but this was still pretty solid.
Judges say: Randy says 10 out of 10 for the beatboxing, beatboxing was hot, singing was just alright. Paula says outdid himself, did better than the first time, wishes she could give him more than a 10. Simon says he's not the best singer in the competition, but is the best performer, performance was great, energy was amazing, singing was a bit flat in the middle, was shouting, but it doesn't matter because it was his best performance a few weeks ago.
Song 2: She Will Be Loved
My thoughts: Lee loves this song. Outfit was a little overly preppy for me, although it fits the song pretty well. Vocally he seems a touch sharp to me, and he particularly be struggled with the falsetto high notes. He does work the audience very well, without overdoing it. Vocals got more solid as he got further into the song. Liked his improvised falsetto in the middle.
Judges say: Randy says great song, very nice vocal, loves it when he sings natural and pure like that, very nice. Paula says really got into the ease of the song, sounded great, relaxed. Simon says good, safe, not as good as the first performance, wouldn't have chosen that song in the final because it doesn't make that much of an impact.
Song 3: This Is My Now
My thoughts: I like him sitting against the screen. Outfit is still a bit preppy for me. I think some of the low notes get a bit drowned out for him, but this is a good vocal match for him.. Nice pace change from slow to fast. Very solid.
Judges say: Randy says didn't fit his voice well, not great, but alright. Paula says not his genre, but great voice, did a great job. Simon says thought it was a little odd, need to judge him on his first two performances.

Jordin
Song 1: Fighter
My thoughts: I wouldn't have picked this song for her, but I guess she's trying to show a more contemporary side of herself. Outfit was okay. The affect isn't connecting for me on this song from her. Vocally she's pretty good, although there was a touch of goat vibrato. I think I'm going to give round 1 to Blake, but just barely. She did have some really sweet glory notes towards the end where I thought her affect picked up.
Judges say: Randy says interesting show tonight, great entertainer versus the great singer, not the best entertainment, but her vocals were stellar. Paula says knew that this was going to be one of the best finales ever, stellar. Simon says on a positive note great that she chose a younger song, thought the vocals were a bit shrieky in the middle, round one to Blake.
Song 2: A Broken Wing
My thoughts: Outfit was okay, but not my favorite on her. Nice soft tone to the vocals. This was really solid. Round 2 to Jordin.
Judges say: Randy says has loved her since day 1, most talented 17 year old singer he's ever seen, flawless, unbelievable, better than the original. Paula says looks adorable, great vocals tonight, soaring. Simon says that was good.
Song 3: This Is My Now
My thoughts: I like this outfit. I like Blake's opening better, but I like Jodrin's affect better. I think her transition to the fast part was better than Blake. She's carrying the power notes much better than he did. I think she was losing it emotionally at end, though, but I don't think anyone will fault her for that. Round 3 to Jordin.
Judges say: Randy says she was the best singer tonight, she deserves it all, that's what it's about, she's what it's about. Paula says very proud, has a lot to be proud of, she's an angel, great night for her. Simon says last week didn't think he was good enough to make the vinals, but clearly he was wrong, this is a singing competition, just wiped the floor with Blake on that song.

My prediction: Jordin wins.
