He woke up sweating; his teeth tightly clenched, his mouth dry and bitter. For a fracture of an instant he thought it was only a dream; it was only in dreams did Cedric fell back to the ground, the light in his eyes diminishing like a half-closed window; it was only in dreams did Cedric smile the rueful smile and asked him to bring back his body.
He begged and begged; and squeezed his eyes shut and wept and yet he could not have been more certain in his life that his dreams were not dreams; never, never for an instant were they not real.
