From the Non-Fan perspective

Can I just say that I'm completely and utterly appalled by so-called Hottests? As the title implies, I'm not a 2PM fan. I love their music, and they're interesting, but I never found myself loving them as I do with SS501, or DBSK. What I've been hearing and seeing, however...

How can you blame six people who have been working their asses off to pave the way for Jae's return? They have been doing everything in their collective power to please their fans while feeling the distinct loss of their leader and friend over something said in the heat of the moment while he was a scared teenager. I challenge someone to tell me that they've never said something that they wished to God they could take back. I know I have.

Imagine the shock they felt knowing that he would not be returning as they had all hoped and planned. I haven't listened to the press conference, or heard many of the rumors, but to take things they say in all honesty and take and twist them out of context is just...I mean, they were nothing but polite and tolerated the rudeness and in some cases hatred thrown at them with a level of maturity that I, at 29 years old, would be unable to achieve.

And to further add insult to injury, you release photos and manipulate the situations to turn more people against them. So what if they're seen out with girls? They're healthy twenty something year old guys. Are they only allowed to spend time with each other? No members of the opposite sex? I'm pretty sure you all have friends of both genders, right? I'm talking to a good friend of mine right now who's a guy. Does that make me a poor role model for my friends who look up to me? Should they be ashamed of me and be allowed to tarnish my name over it?

Yes, I'm sure JYP could have handled things better regarding the release of information and Jaebum himself could have said something, but hindsight is always 20/20, right? He fucked up. It happens. While we don't know what he did, it was Jaebum who did it in the end, not Taecyeon, or Junho. Not Wooyoung or Junsu, either. Nichkhun and Chansung are just as innocent.

Were you there when Jae did whatever he did? Were you a fly on the wall when he confessed to his brothers what he had done? Were you sitting with them as they realized that their precious leader wouldn't be returning, or when they had to accept the fact, despite the hurt they had to be feeling?

A fan, to me, is a person who will stand by their idol in their darkest hour, not turn your backs the moment trouble appears. We should support them and lend them our shoulders, not force them to stand on their own surrounded by quicksand and allow them to sink. I believe there is a highly well known phrase that sums this all up, and I think that I'll leave off on that note:

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."
