Is anyone else watching Hell On Wheels (AMC)? The first ep was a little bit all over the place, but it's already settling down in episode 2. Obviously it's being filmed in Canada, because hello there, Christopher Heyerdahl and Ian Tracey! (Also, might this explain why Sanctuary has been off this season - if their actors are busy doing other high-profile projects?). CH is just FANTASTIC as The Swede, and he's just a guest star. God, that man can act!
I'm going to keep watching. Already they have some interesting storylines and one potentially kick-ass female character in Lily (she stitched up her own shoulder with like, boning from her corset!), even if the title is kind of dumb and Colm Meaney seems to be playing the same character he always plays.

In non-fannish news, my next-door neighbors came over last night to tell me that their house was robbed. During the day. And I work from home, where my office is like 20 feet from the window that was broken into. I feel AWFUL, because i didn't hear/see anything. Evidently, they went through a window in the back and then took all kinds of stuff right through the front door. I know it's not my fault but I still feel terrible that I wasn't able to help stop it. And now freaked out about someone trying to break into my house! *sadface*
