Do you know what show I'm really digging?
The Good Wife. There's just something about it that is compelling... (and it's definitely not Chris Noth). I really am enjoying the female characters - Kalinda and Alicia especially (and their dynamic), but also Christine Baranski's character is really interesting. Just when I think she's a stereotypical power lawyer, she does something to turn that notion on its head. That's probably a testament to Christine Baranski's acting more than anything, but so far the writing has been pretty sharp overall. Is anyone else watching?

I am so excited about the wine I bought for Thanksgiving (that's my task this year - get the wine. Oh, and help make the mashed potatoes): 2007 La Crema Pinot Noir (usually I am all about the Oregon Pinots, rather than the ones from CA, but this had really good reviews, so I thought we'd give it a whirl); an Oregon Pinot Gris, from Lachini Vineyards (2008), which should pair really well with the turkey; and a bottle of Piper-Heidsieck Brut for some bubbly!

I bought outdoor LED Christmas lights and a timer at the hardware store last weekend and then returned them because I really need to stop spending so much money. (Note: wine does not count; wine is something that you *should* spend money on. ;) Anyway, I have plenty of indoor Christmas decorations I can put up, and maybe next year I can venture to outdoor decorating. I do always put up a door wreath - but that I can make for free by walking outside and trimming some fir and cedar. This is the Evergreen State after all!
