Time to go fishin'!
Fridays are so freaking DEAD on LJ. Especially on a Friday that is the start of a holiday weekend! My office is like a ghost town too - I think I might be the only one on my floor today! :S
But, to brighten your day, I have fic recs! skydiver119 wrote the most wonderful SG-1 / Deadliest Catch AU, called Row, Row, Row Your Boat, where Jack is the deck boss on Captain Hammond's Stargazer, and Sam is a grounded Coast Guard pilot on cutter TDY.
And then she wrote a sequel, Motley Crew, which adds Vala and Lorne to the fun!
She did an amazing job staying true to the characters while dropping them into the DC AU. Go! Read now!

My real estate agent called me today and asked if I would let her come take pictures of me (and my new house) sometime for some marketing postcards. I might have said OK. So now I *really* have to finish unpacking and setting things up! The weather is supposed to be pretty yucky this weekend, so maybe I can hole up and get stuff done. But the yard is kind of a mess, so I hope she doesn't want to do outdoor pics!
I also hope to get to some movies this weekend, and do some icon making. We'll see! Happy Labor Day to all my US flisters! ETA: and happy Labour Day, Canadian flisters!
